Charleston Strolls History Tour

Charleston Strolls History Tour

Come meander through alleys passing hidden gardens in Charleston's historic district on the 2-hour A Walk With History Tour. Learn about one of the country's oldest cities and enjoy historic highlights and famous landmarks, including Rainbow Row, The Battery, antebellum mansions and the Old Exchange Building.

Rainbow Row is a vibrant stretch of homes from the mid-1700s and one of Charleston's most unique landmarks. The Battery was originally a public park in 1837 and served as a fort during the Civil War. Today, you'll see children climbing 150-year-old cannons and live oaks dripping with Spanish moss against the Charleston Harbor.

Antebellum mansions are located at the Charleston Peninsula's southern tip. These are some of the area's most lavish residences, such as the Palmer Home (also known as the Pink Palace). The Old Exchange Building is an architectural gem designed to house 18th century assemblies, served as a prison during the Revolutionary War, and its balcony is where the Declaration of Independence was read aloud.  These are just a few of the things you'll see on this acclaimed tour!
