COVID-19 Protocols Updates

The city of Charleston nor the state of South Carolina currently has any mandates regarding COVID-19.  However -  shops, attractions and tours are carefully managing the number of guests at any given time and may ask you to wear a mask and maintain proper social distance to enter/participate.

Includes:

  • Your own F13 mini speed boat
  • USCG approved life jacket
  • Bottled water
  • Instruction covering boating basics, rules of the road, tour hand signals and a professional trained guide leading and narrating the tour

About the boats:

  • Your boat is very safe, stable, and comfortable.
  • Boats are equipped with all the necessary Coast Guard approved safety equipment.
  • Each boat can carry up to 3 persons and is powered by a super-quiet, eco friendly 30 horsepower outboard motor.
  • Easy to drive! You will be sitting in a comfortable cushioned seat. You steer the wheel just like a car, and have a throttle on your side with 3 positions (forward, neutral, reverse). You can cruise slow or as fast as a jetski.
  • Boats do have a storage compartment but bags can get wet - so beware.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any restrictions or weight requirements? -- Yes, there is a per boat weight limit of 500 lbs. A small child (under 50 lbs) is allowed to sit in the middle. You must be 18 years or older to drive a boat by yourself.

Any health restrictions? -- Although usually calm, the waters can be choppy at times. Those with neck or back problems or a recent surgery should not participate. Pregnant women should not participate.

Will I get wet? -- The boats are very dry and you should not get wet.

What should I wear/bring? -- If the weather is a bit chilly, long pants and a jacket are fine on the boat. If you choose, a bathing suit or shorts on warmer days is always comfortable. Wear what you would to the beach, depending on the temperature. Other suggestions: sandals or flip-flops, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses.

Can we switch drivers? -- Absolutely! You will stop several times during the tour and you can switch drivers if you like when the boats are stopped, as long as each driver is age 18+.

What if I am by myself and have not arranged for a Single Boat? -- If there is another single on the tour, then you may be paired together and you can make a new friend. If not, then you get the boat to yourself.

What if I have never driven a boat? -- No problem! The boats are very simple to operate and your guide will make sure you are fully comfortable with the operation before you leave the dock.
