Journey out to a 22 Acre Island Preserve, Crab Bank -- which is home to thousands of nesting shorebirds. From here you can collect shells from November - March. From here you can view historic Charleston Harbor, Ft. Sumter, the Sullivans Island Lighthouse and Patriots Point.

No doubt these flat marsh harbors have their own special beautiful, but there is also abundant wildlife and spectacular historic sights along the way. This area of coastal Carolina area is one of the Lowcountry's most interesting areas.
